Kaleigh Nitz, MSHP, LEED GA
Founder, Marsh Buchanan Preservation Consulting

Kaleigh is the founder of Marsh Buchanan Preservation Consulting. Named in honor of her two grandmothers, Marsh Buchanan reflects both a personal legacy and a professional mission: to carry forward values of resilience, stewardship, and vision.

With over a decade of experience at the intersection of business management, architecture, and historic preservation, Kaleigh brings a unique perspective that reframes preservation not as a government restriction, but as a pathway to financial opportunity and community revitalization. Her career spans roles in architecture, real estate development, marketing, and nonprofit preservation, equipping her with both the financial acumen and cultural stewardship needed to guide investors, developers, and property owners through the complex world of preservation incentives.

Kaleigh holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Colorado Denver, where she graduated first in her class, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver, and a Graduate Certificate in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University. She is also LEED certified and actively serves on multiple preservation and community boards.
